The County Coalition for Feeding and Helping Our Families was created during the 2025 government shutdown, when SNAP benefits were suspended and families across our region faced uncertainty. Leaders from Pitt, Beaufort, Martin, Bertie, and Edgecombe counties joined hands with Interfaith Clergy to make sure no family was left behind. Our goal is simple: to raise resources and provide real help to families. With committees for finance, volunteers, and unmet needs, we work closely with DSS, churches, nonprofits, and the United Way. Every dollar raised goes through the United Way to support families in our communities.
